Malevolence vocalist Alex Taylor has revealed he had to undergo emergency surgery this week. A statement shared by the man himself was issued on social media today, June 26th, it reads:
“Yo everyone,
First of all, I want to say a big thank you to everyone who has checked in/ sent a nice message over the last 24 hours. They were all really appreciated!
I ended up having to have an emergency operation yesterday, and the good news is the operation went well and I’m being discharged today.
Unfortunately it does mean that I won’t be able to play the final shows of our summer tour as I’m told I need to rest up and heal.
MALEVOLENCE will still be playing these remaining shows! The lads have kindly agreed to step up and finish this tour without me and we will enlisting the help of some friends to make sure these shows are as sick as they can possibly be! As always the crowd is an integral part of any Malevolence performance so I’m counting on you lot to go down and set it the fuck off!
I’ll be back on my feet in no time, love to you all”
As indicated by Taylor, this unfortunate setback occurs amid their ongoing European tour, remaining dates for which include:
06/26 Copenhagen, DEN – Copenhell
06/28 Helsinki, FIN – Tuska Open Air
07/02 Ferrara, ITA – Ferrara Summer Festival
