Covert Stations have given a release to their rendition of Cheap Trick‘s 1988 single “The Flame” as the eighth entry in their borrowed singles covers series. That collective is led by vocalist Craig Cirinelli (Hidden Cabins, (Damn) This Desert Air, etc.). Joining him on this take are guitarist Matt Baumbach (Vision Of Disorder, M@), drummer Brian Leahy (Eyesawn, Hidden Cabins), bassist Mark Wilkinson (The Evening Sons, Rydell, etc.) and keyboardist Chris Badami (I Can Make A Mess). Badami also mixed this single.
The collective independently tracked this take, which is premiering now exclusively via theprp.com. Previous artists tackled under the Covert Stations banner include Fleetwood Mac, The Cult, INXS, R.E.M. and more.
