Diamond-certified alternative rockers The Smashing Pumpkins have signed on to perform at the upcoming ‘America250‘ concert scheduled to be held in Los Angeles, CA on July 04th. Not to be confused with the ‘Freedom 250‘ concert series planned by the Trump administration that disastrously fell apart as many artists faced scrutiny for their involvement, this particular event is being backed by America250.
That nonprofit, nonpartisan organization was established by the U.S. Congress in 2016 to create awareness and engage U.S. citizens in celebrating the country’s upcoming 250th anniversary. Per a lineup announcement made this morning, June 15th, Chris Stapleton, The Smashing Pumpkins and more will be performing at a special July 04th concert set to be held at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. Queen Latifah will host with a portion of the proceeds to benefit Giving 4th.
