Ice Nine Kills have begun teasing their new single “Play Dead“. Adding to their growing line of horror-inspired collaborations, this new track sees the gold-certified metalcore band pairing up with the asymmetrical multiplayer horror game ‘Dead By Daylight‘. That franchise has a rich past with heavy music, having previously crossed over with masked metal marauders Slipknot, and soon to be Rock & Roll Hall Of Famers Iron Maiden, among others.
Outside of this new musical contribution, Ice Nine Kills will also have some cosmetic items in the form of shirts/outfits available in the game starting June 16th. However, the music video for the song is currently streaming now, having debuted yesterday, June 14th, via a 10th anniversary streaming event held for ‘Dead By Daylight‘.
That’s not all however, as the band are also teasing ‘Part Deux’ in connection to this track for a June 26th premiere date, complete with skateboarding icon Tony Hawk starring. The latter also provided an introduction for the premiere of the below music video for this song.
In related news, another collaboration between ‘Dead By Daylight‘ and Iron Maiden was announced during the livestream in the form of a new skin based upon the band’s iconic mascot, Eddie.
