Pittsburgh, PA-based metalcore band 156/Silence‘s sixth studio album has been given the title of “From A Distance“. The group have opened the door to that next chapter with the debut of a new single, “No Arms“. A video for it directed by Errick Easterday (Wage War, ERRA) accompanies it.

A handful of guests will be featured upon this Josh Schroeder (Lorna Shore, The Plot In You) produced record, including The Devil Wears Prada vocalist Mike Hranica on “Cannon Fodder“, Make Them Suffer keyboardist/vocalist Alex Reade on the title track “From A Distance“, and a team-up with vocalist Tony Castrati of Crippling Alcoholism on “Collateral“. A September 04th release date for this album has been slated via Pure Noise Records.

The band collectively said of this lead single from it:

“‘No Arms‘ is about being without a way to protect yourself and what belongs to you. Being alone and afraid, not having any means to control the situations that befall on us. The overwhelming feeling of being helpless until we’re not. Until somebody saves us.”

Guitarist Jimmy Howell explained his continued creative approach taken with this record:

“I look toward bands we love that grew with their listeners, like Thrice and Bring Me The Horizon. They have a sound, but they grow and change. Some bands are comfortable repeating the same thing again. I don’t want to do that. I want to make you feel the way you do when you hear one of those important bands, without sounding like them.”
