Experimental metalcore collective The Armed had a very special set in store for those who caught them last night, May 17th, at The Regency Ballroom in San Francisco, CA. Capping off their run opening for Poison The Well and Converge, The Armed brought out alternative metal legend Mike Patton (Faith No More, Mr. Bungle, etc.) on vocals for several songs. Patton wasn’t the only big guest to join the The Armed onstage last night either.
Converge‘s drummer Ben Koller and guitarist Kurt Ballou also sat in for a cover of Converge‘s “Homewrecker“, while Koller also took on the drums for “Fortune’s Daughter” — a song he appeared on the studio version of. According to those in attendance, last night’s set ran as follows:
