Masked British alternative metal stars Sleep Token landed a trio of new gold certifications in the United States this past week. This latest round of accolades from the RIAA should be no surprise given the group’s meteoric rise following the record-breaking release of their latest album, “Even In Arcadia“. That album notched up its gold status in the U.S. this past January — a feat that it previously attained in the band’s native UK this past December.
As of May 14th, all three of that album’s official singles, including the GRAMMY-nominated “Caramel“, were newly certified gold. The album’s lead single “Emergence“, and the third and final track to be released as a focus track thus far, “Damocles“, round out this new wave of honors.
“The Summoning” off of their 2023 album “Take Me Back To Eden” remains Sleep Token‘s most celebrated track thus far, becoming their first to go platinum in the U.S. this past April.
*A platinum album/single in the United States represents 1,000,000 units, while gold signifies 500,000 units. Outside of traditional physical/digital sales, the certifications factor in digital streams/downloads with 10 permanent track downloads counting as 1 unit and 1500 on-demand audio/video streams from a particular album also counting as as a unit. 150 streams of a song also equate to a track-equivalent unit.
