Multi-platinum alternative metal band Staind have concluded work on their ninth studio album. The band’s guitarist Mike Mushok confirmed the news during an interview that occurred this week around the ‘Sonic Temple‘ festival in Columbus, OH. Mushok told 99.7 The Blitz of their progress with it, “We have a new record that’s actually done. It won’t be out this year, I don’t think.”
The tentative decision for a 2027 release aligns with Staind‘s divisive frontman Aaron Lewis spending much of the upcoming months on the road with his solo country project, along with a few Staind live appearances sprinkled around in-between.
