Rage Against The Machine guitarist Tom Morello and System Of A Down vocalist Serj Tankian have teamed up again for a new single titled “Adjourn It“. This new pairing from the long-time friends and noted political activists will see them joined by Roman Morello, Tom‘s 15-year-old son.
According to Tom, this new track was inspired by, “The persecution of immigrants across the land and the counterforce of a heroic resistance to the rising tide of fascism. ADJOURN IT is a ‘Freedom Song’ of crushing riffs for justice and equality.” Pre-saves for the song are available now through tommorello.lnk.to/adjournit, with a May 29th premiere date set.
Back in 2002, Tom and Serj formed the Axis Of Justice non-profit organization to raise awareness for social justice causes among the rock and heavy music communities. The duo aimed to help facilitate grassroots political organizations with that organization and and took pronounced stances against racism, after having encountered it amid their careers at shows, festivals and more.
