Bring Me The Horizon vocalist Oli Sykes was hit by a phone thrown from the audience while performing onstage tonight, May 11th at the Enterprise Center in St. Louis, MO. Fans have noted that Sykes appeared to be a bit less enthusiastic about the band’s set after the incident, allegedly abstaining from physically interacting with the crowd as much as he is normally known to do. He did however finish out the concert.

The incident appears to have happened some 4 tracks into the set during “Happy Song“. Upon being stuck by the phone, Sykes briefly vented his frustration at the audience, publicly questioning “who the f*ck” threw the phone in question at him, before tossing it off the stage, seemingly to security. As you’d expect, the regrettable incident has already drawn out the puns on social media, with ‘Bring Me The Verizon’ being the top contender so far.

Bring Me The Horizon‘s current North American run with Motionless In White, The Plot In You and Amira Elfeky will finish out as follows:

05/12 Kansas City, MO – T-Mobile Center
05/13 Saint Paul, MN – Grand Casino Arena
05/15 Rosemont, IL – Allstate Arena
05/16 Columbus, OH – Sonic Temple Festival

Update: May 12th, 2026 12:38pm:

Sykes has since issued the following statement on social media, confirming he suffered a mild concussion as a result of being hit by the phone.

“Alright everyone – just wanted to let you know I’m all good. The phone to the head definitely smarted and I ended up with a mild concussion, but the swelling’s gone down a decent amount already.

Last night I was struggling a bit on stage afterwards because singing was putting a lot of pressure on the wound and making things feel a bit disorienting while performing, so I’m sorry on my part what may have seemed like a half hearted performance.

Appreciate everyone checking in and worrying about me though. Everything should be fine for tonight’s gig.”
