The Black Queen have enlisted the services of a fellow veteran of mathcore legends The Dillinger Escape Plan for their spring touring. The synthwave outfit announced today, May 04th, that Chris Pennie will soon be behind the drum kit for their “Fever Daydream” 10th anniversary touring. Pennie played drums with The Dillinger Escape Plan from 1997 to 2007.
The Black Queen commented of his new addition to their roster:
“Some of you will understand the significance of this. Please explain it to those who don’t. He’s been with us behind the scenes for a while, but starting in Boston, with the exception of Montreal and Toronto, and for all shows going forward after that, we will have a new member onstage with us. His name is Chris Pennie. Yes he will be playing drums.”
The Black Queen are of course fronted by ex-The Dillinger Escape Plan vocalist Greg Puciato. Pennie isn’t the only extra firepower to have been brought in for this celebratory tour. The services of former Nine Inch Nails/A Perfect Circle member Danny Lohner has also been recruited for the trek. Dates for this tour include:
