British gothic metal band Cradle Of Filth have officially welcomed guitarist Joff Bailey into their lineup as a permanent replacement for Marek “Ashok” Šmerda. The latter musician infamously parted ways with the group shortly after his wife Zoe Marie Federoff quit the band mid-tour last year. That couple engaged in a war of words with Cradle Of Filth frontman Dani Filth and the band’s management, which has since resulted in a lawsuit that was filed last fall.
Bailey comes to the band from power metal outfit Savage Messiah, and according to the below post welcoming him into the fold, he’s also been involved with Cradle Of Filth‘s forthcoming 15th studio album. Bailey‘s first run out with the band is happening now on the ‘Majestic In Death Tour‘, which finds Cradle Of Filth headlining with NY death metallers Suffocation, North Dakotan black metallers Ghost Bath and masked nü-metalcore outfit Cultus Black opening.
