An official music video has just been launched for “Cope“, the recent rap-rock throwback collaboration between platinum-certified nü-metal/hard rock band Saliva and Trevor McNevan, vocalist of Christian rockers Thousand Foot Krutch. Expounding upon this collaboration last month when the track first dropped, Saliva vocalist Bobby Amaru stated:
“‘Cope‘ is about the quiet battles young people fight while trying to figure out who they are in a world that doesn’t always make it easy. It’s for every kid who feels too much, thinks too hard, and is just trying to make it through the noise. Having Trevor McNevan on this track was a blast and I feel that he really brought the song home.”
McNevan added:
“‘Cope‘ is about losing control—and realizing you were never meant to have control in the first place. The song really illustrates the feeling of hitting the bottom and realizing the only way up is to surrender.”
