A deluxe edition of Slayer guitarist Kerry King‘s 2024 solo debut “From Hell I Rise” has been slated for a June 19th release on Reigning Phoenix Music. King is of course not alone in that venture, as he is joined by vocalist Mark Osegueda (Death Angel), guitarist Phil Demmel (ex-Machine Head, etc.) and bassist Kyle Sanders (HELLYEAH). Rounding out the lineup is King‘s Slayer bandmate, drummer Paul Bostaph.

This expanded take on the record is titled “From Hell I Rise (Extended Deluxe Edition)” and it will offer a significant glimpse behind the curtain of King‘s creative process. Newly added to the set are demo versions of five songs which feature the scratch/guide vocal takes King himself laid down before bringing in Osegueda. Those songs are tacked on to the album’s original 13-song track listing as follows:

14 – “Crucifixation” (Demo Kerry King Vocals)
15 – “From Hell I Rise” (Demo Kerry King Vocals)
16 – “Two Fists” (Demo Kerry King Vocals)
17 – “Rage” (Demo Kerry King Vocals)
18 – “Trophies Of The Tyrant” (Demo Kerry King Vocals)

Updated cover art done by James Bousema is also featured, while an earbook collector’s edition limited to 666 copies features a bonus live CD and Blu-ray capturing King‘s first-ever solo show, which took place May 07th, 2024 at Reggie’s in Chicago, IL. Pre-orders are available via kerryking.rpm.link/fromhelldeluxe.

King is said to have entered the studio this April to record his sophomore solo album from that eponymous project.
