Nearly 5 months into 2026 and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard have yet to release a single new album. The ever prolific Australian psych rockers appear set to change that in the coming months however, as they’ve confirmed that sessions have concluded for their 28th studio album.
The band revealed the news in the below social media post shared this morning, April 24th. A potential guest involved with this outing is bluegrass star Billy Strings, who was spotted in the studio with the group last month.
King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard‘s 2026 touring plans remain somewhat barren at the moment, with the 2026 edition of their ‘Field Of Vision‘ festival set for August in Buena Vista, CO, and a trio of shows at the Forest Hill Stadium to follow soon after.
