Space rock royalty Failure have returned with a new single by the name of “The Rising Skyline“. Joining them on this track is none other than Hayley Williams of Paramore fame. Williams has long been a devoted fan of Failure, with Paramore having previously covered songs by the outfit. Last year even saw Williams cover “Daylight” by Failure live with the band’s frontman Ken Andrews. She also appeared in Failure‘s ‘Every Time You Lose Your Mind‘ documentary. Andrews said of this new pairing with her:
“Failure doesn’t do a lot of collaborations, but my friendship with Hayley, and her long standing support of the band, turned this song into a very satisfying duet. It’s probably the most delicate song we’ve ever done and her vocal approach really brought that out.”
“The Rising Skyline” will appear on Failure‘s upcoming seventh studio album,”Location Lost“, due out April 24th. In related news, Failure have just announced a new round of fall North American touring, bringing along zoomergaze artist Quannnic to open.
