Atmospheric metalcore band Midwinter have dropped their new album “A Love I Hope Will Haunt Me Forever” through Papercut Recordings. This sophomore album made it out today, April 16th, flanked by a music video for the track “Eager Tides“, which was overseen by Father Seabear. While that clip serves as the focus track, you can also watch a new video for their song “Hourglass” as well. The latter was overseen by Sam Grossman.

Commenting on the record, the band offered:

“This album came from a really personal place for us. It’s about losing someone you love and trying to make sense of everything that comes after; the doubt, the anger, the quiet moments where it all sinks in. Sonically, we let ourselves experiment and push into heavier, stranger territory, somewhere between progressive metalcore and thall with a specific emphasis on sound design. We wanted the sound of the album to reflect the raw emotion of the lyrics while also maintaining our staple modern sound.”

Midwinter signed with Papercut Recordings this past February. That label is headed up by members of Brand Of Sacrifice & Fit For A King.
