It’s no surprise that Bring Me The Horizon‘s decision to revisit their early deathcore days onstage (and in the studio) has proven to be a hot ticket. After announcing earlier this week that they would be performing their debut album “Count Your Blessings” in its entirety at the B.E.C. Arena in Manchester, UK on July 10th, the group have now added a second stop a day afterwards.
The opening roster of Static Dress, Dying Wish, Heriot, Rolo Tomassi, Car Underwater and Still In Love will remain in place for this additional July 11th show. Fans looking to score a chance at attending this show can expect presale access tonight, April 15th, should they have previously signed up for the first date.
As Bring Me The Horizon revealed earlier this week, the band also hit the studio to re-record “Count Your Blessings” in its entirety. Buster Odeholm (thrown, Vildhjarta, etc.) was brought into mix that new take on the record, which they will be issuing on July 10th as “Count Your Blessings – Repented“.
Given that the group have long since morphed into a more melodic-oriented alternative metal powerhouse, it would seem that this deep dive into their heavier days posed some challenges for vocalist Oli Sykes. In a newly shared video on his social media (see below), he showcased his difficulties in the studio getting back into deathcore bellowing.
