Death metal supergroup Ablation have set May 29th as the release date for their debut EP, “Lethal Abuse“. Iron Fortress Records have stepped up to issue this project, preparing vinyl, CD and cassette offerings. Ablation unites four death metal veterans in Sanguisugabogg vocalist Devin Swank (Sanguisugabogg), Suffocation‘s drummer Eric Morotti and bassist Derek Boyer, and ex-Dehumanized guitarist Rich Nagasawa. Sessions for this effort took place throughout 2025, with the EP having been finalized last fall.
The quartet worked with producer Joe Cincotta (Obituary, Suffocation) at his Full Force Studio on this outing, with Cincotta also taking on the mixing and mastering duties. Further strengthening their ties to the Suffocation camp, this six-song EP also boasts two guest appearances (“Victim Kink” & “Eradicating The Feebleminded“) from Frank Mullen, a man who previously spent decades fronting that New York death metal institution.
