Knoxville, TN alternative metal outfit 10 Years have newly landed their first platinum certification in the United States alongside a pair of gold singles. The RIAA handed down both a platinum and double platinum certification for the band’s 2005 single “Wasteland” yesterday, March 25th, 2026. That song served as the lead single from the band’s already gold-certified third studio album “The Autumn Effect“. It previously earned its gold certification back in December of 2017.
Also going gold yesterday were “Beautiful“, the lead single from the band’s fourth studio album, 2008’s “Division“, and “Fix Me“, the second single from the group’s fifth full-length offering, 2010’s “Feeing The Wolves“.
10 Years took to social media yesterday to offer the following about hitting these milestones:
“Today was a BIG day.
A day that doesn’t happen without every single one of you who’s ever let our music into your life.
“Wasteland” is now officially 2x PLATINUM.
“Beautiful” is GOLD.
“Fix Me” is GOLD.We don’t usually get caught up in numbers or milestones, but this one hits different. Because this isn’t about stats — it’s about time. Years of you holding onto these songs. Coming back to them. Finding something in them when you needed it most.
That means more to us than anything.
The fact that something we created has been a place for you — whether that’s solace, strength, or just a moment of peace — is something we’ll never take lightly.
We’re beyond grateful. Truly.
Thank you for carrying these songs with you all these years.
And we’re not even close to done.”
*A platinum album/single in the United States represents 1,000,000 units, while gold signifies 500,000 units. Outside of traditional physical/digital sales, the certifications factor in digital streams/downloads with 10 permanent track downloads counting as 1 unit and 1500 on-demand audio/video streams from a particular album also counting as as a unit. 150 streams of a song also equate to a track-equivalent unit.
