British rap-rocker Kid Bookie has continued his long-standing history of collaborations with the Taylor family and that almost annual tradition has now continued. He and Slipknot, etc. vocalist Corey Taylor have once again united, this time on a new song titled “BLAME“.

In addition to Kid Bookie and Corey having worked on a handful of tracks prior, Kid Bookie has also previously teamed with Corey‘s son, Griffin Taylor of Vended. Back in 2019, Taylor returned to rapping ala early Slipknot with Bookie on the track “Stuck In My Ways“.

He’s gone back to that well for a few collaborations since and this latest track once again finds him delving back in that aspect. Speaking of this latest chance to work with Corey, Kid Bookie said on social media:

“YOU GUYS.. THIS AINT JUST ME AND COREY DOING UP NORMAL SHIT. THIS IS BOTH OF US PUSHING OUR OWN ENVELOPE TOGETHER. WE BEEN MAKING MUSIC FOR NEARLY A DECADE TOGETHER BUT YOU SEE THIS SONG HERE…? NEW. NEW. NEW. I CANT WAIT FOR YOU ALL TO LOSE YOUR FUCKING MINDS AT THIS NEARLY 5 MINUTE MEDLEY.

I’M SO HONOURED TO WORK WITH MY FAVOURITE PEOPLE. LET ALONE JUST ARTISTS. ONE THAT HAS SHAPED MOST OF OUR LISTENING TASTES FOR OVER 2 DECADES.. THIS YEAR I AM BRINGING PEOPLE OUT OF THEIR COMFORT ZONES IN NEW WAYS AND WOW… WITH ROSE, WE MADE A BEAUTIFUL MONSTER. WITH COREY. WE MADE SOMETHING THAT WE’VE NOT HAD A CHANCE TO EVEN NAME…

HOPE YOU ENJOY.

In a press release, Kid Bookie further added:

“Over the years, facing myself and the reflection that comes with the mirror isn’t always an easy one. Accountability is the removal of ego and pride to see beyond your own nose, to allow yourself the room to grow via ownership of your actions. I’m around some of the best people who practice that in more ways than one.

Corey and I have been working with each other for nearly a decade, but I feel this record is a coming of age, even for us. New territory, but familiar approach to make sure we embolden each other through music.

This song is almost a therapy session for me, and not just via my own lyrics, but to how Corey has made me feel by exposing himself so bare in this record, truly an honor to keep pushing the envelope with someone who has just pushed it as far as it can go, but has completely revamped what the envelope fu*king is.”

Corey added:

Books is one of my favorite people, not just artists, and every time he comes to me with an opportunity to create with him, I’m always excited because I know I’m going to hear something I’ve never heard before. ‘Blame’ was so good the first time I heard it, I signed on without even knowing what I’d do! I’m proud of the song, and I’m proud of him, and grateful to be involved.”

Update: March 17th, 2026 08:41pm:

It has since been clarfieid that the songwriting credit initially attributed to actress/musician Rose McGowan was a clerical error and that she is not actually involved in this song.
