Nine Inch Nails‘ set-closing performance of one of their signature tracks, “Hurt“, during last Friday’s (March 06th) show at the Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, AZ was interrupted by a fight breaking out in the audience. Band mastermind Trent Reznor didn’t take kindly to the altercation, stopping the song to admonish the violent concertgoers. Reznor chastised them from the stage, offering [transcribed by theprp.com]:
“Hey, we’re not here for this sh*t man. C’mon, hey! hey! There’s enough bullsh*t happening out there, we don’t need it happening in the f*ck here.”
With the set remaining paused, security went and ejected the individuals in question from the audience, with the rest of the crowd engaging in loud boos directed towards those involved in the scrap as they were escorted out.
