Canadian technical death metallers Beyond Creation have issued “Reverence” as their first new single in roughly seven years. A music video for that track has just been shared in celebration below. That clip was directed by Francois Bertrand and the band’s vocalist/guitarist Simon Girard. The latter commented of what inspired the song:
“Our new single explores the fragile line between clarity and illusion, between introspection and insanity, where the search for meaning can either elevate us or consume us. But the truth is simple and powerful: the moment you stop comparing and start focusing on who you truly are and what you genuinely want to express, something beautiful happens.
You create from a place of honesty. You grow with purpose. What you achieve becomes something you can be proud of, because it is unique, real and entirely your own.”
Girard further added:
“With social media, we are constantly measuring ourselves against others. The more we compare, the further we drift from our true selves and our authentic voice. We are lost amidst stress and insecurity. We feel that our ideas lack value, that our techniques are insufficient and our identity is somehow flawed.”
“Once we stop with the comparisons, we free ourselves to grow. We flourish in ways we never thought possible.”
