Two former vocalists of Arch Enemy have now denied returning to the group. Last week, fans of the Swedish melodic death metal outfit began to suspect that the band’s former frontwoman Angela Gossow was primed to make her return. While Gossow has remained involved with Arch Enemy in a managerial capacity since her 2014 exit, her decision to mirror Arch Enemy‘s recent social media blackout sent the rumor mill into a frenzy.
While a second teaser video was posted for the band’s new singer today, February 16th, Gossow has since
clarified she is not back in the fold. In a comment on that below new teaser, Gossow stated:
“It’s not ME! But thank you for all the love! I am really excited to be involved in this new chapter as the manager This is gonna CRUSH!”
The aforementioned position was vacated by Alissa White-Gluz last year. With the band’s original vocalist Johan Liiva having also ruled out a possible return, Arch Enemy fans have already been eyeing a wish list of potential candidates, including Lauren Hart of Once Human fame, Vicky Psarakis of Sicksense/ex-The Agonist and more.
