Just ahead of Bad Bunny‘s much-debated halftime performance at this Sunday’s ‘Superbowl LX‘, VRSTY have issued their cover of the Puerto Rican superstar’s 2024 collaboration with Rauw Alejandro, the gold-certified single “Qué Pasaría“. Joey Tyler, vocalist for the above-mentioned adventurous post-hardcore band, commented on tackling this track:
“I have such a deep love for Spanish music and my culture in general, so this song always stuck out to me. There’s something incredibly sexy and forbidden about the original, and I definitely tried my hardest to translate that in my own way! It makes me think that I should just fully commit to doing Spanish songs at some point. We’ll see!”
