Multi-platinum hard rockers Foo Fighters had The Pretty Reckless frontwoman Taylor Momsen join them onstage for a Mariah Carey cover during last night’s (January 30th) MusiCares‘ 2026 Person Of The Year benefit gala. That event was held at the Los Angeles Convention Center in Los Angeles, CA in Carey‘s honor.

Together the Foos and Momsen performed covers of “Hermit” & “Love Is A Scam“, which Carey secretly recorded back in 1995 for her long-lost grunge album, “Someone’s Ugly Daughter” as part of the band Chick. While Carey had originally intended to be the lead singer in that venture, label concerns saw her enlisting Clarissa Dane to retrack the parts originally laid down by Carey. The pop megastar’s involvement with the album would be kept under wraps for years to follow.

With Carey singing along in the audience, Momsen and the Foos ran through the track. The pairing were but one of numerous performers to hit the stage in honor of Carey at the gala event
