Flint, MI nü-metal group King 810 have continued their prolific streak with the debut of a new track titled “Goofer Dust“. That song is the first single to make it out from the group’s next studio album “Rustbelt Numetal 3” album. Each entry in that trilogy was recorded live in front of a studio audience, with 45 onlookers taking in these sessions this past November. The group went for a traditional recording experience with the record, opting to not use samples, click and other modern studio trickery.
This latest track finds the band exploring some classic Southern rhythm & blues, with its hoodoo magic-oriented lyrics and bluesy underpinnings. Speaking yesterday (January 31st) alongside the release of this latest track, the band offered:
“Ladies and gentlemen, we return to our regular scheduled programming.
The band called KING has just dropped the first single from their upcoming album K8. GOOFER DUST.
This will be their third album in 12 months. This album was also recorded in front of a live studio audience without click tracks, programming, overdubbing, punching in etc etc.
We think everyone involved, especially those who attended and made this possible.
Let’s spin this one today then.”
“Rustbelt Nu Metal 3” will be out on March 20th with pre-orders now available through king810.com.
