From Ashes To New have laid down another single from their upcoming album “Reflections“. That record has had an April 17th release mapped out for it by Better Noise Music. The gold-certified Lancaster, PA nü-metal group have shared their song “Villain” as the third single off of it.
According to vocalist Matt BrandyBerry:
“‘Villain‘ is a story about the magnetic pull between two people who know better, but dive in anyway. It’s the moment when desire outweighs consequences, when you choose the chaos you swear you shouldn’t want, and the ‘bad guy’ becomes the one voice you can’t quiet. The song leans into that dark, intoxicating tension where temptation feels like truth, danger feels like comfort, and the line between thrill and destruction disappears. It’s not about saving each other…it’s about surrendering to the part of yourself you pretend doesn’t exist.”
BrandyBerry also assisted with the directorial duties for this clip. This new record represents a renewed vision for the outfit. After initially completing 16 demos for it, they decided to scrap those sessions and start anew, bringing forward only two songs. Brandyberry stated, “I wanted to take what we are good at and push it even further. That was the process for this whole record.”
