Former Turnstile guitarist Brady Ebert has taken a few shots at his former bandmates online on social media this week. A post from Turnstile‘s Instagram story featuring a sign that stated ‘abolish ICE’ was highlighted by Jesea Lee on Instagram, leading to Ebert to reply in the comments:

“Lmao, no one in turnstile cares at all about ethics or social issues in general, they’re just pandering to their audience. At turnstiles first free show they did they. Claimed all proceeds go to healthcare for the homeless, we raised 10000 dollars but i watched Brendan steal 4000 dollars from that and claim he needed to “pay the merch bill” which was false”

Ebert‘s departure from Turnstile back in 2022 was apparently a messy affair, with drummer Daniel Fang having reportedly filed a restraining order against Ebert around the time of the split. While little has come to light about that situation publicly or the circumstances surrounding Ebert‘s departure, the latter did seemingly address the matter in a newly made comment on the above-mentioned post, Ebert stated:

“Also my friends filed a restraining order and guess what, they had two laywers with them abd I showed up to court bt myself and the judge DENIED the restraining order because there was no statute in the laws about what qualifies for a restraining order that they were able to meet the requirements of. In other words they had no reason to file it and it was all over text messages which they showed the judge and the judge agreed with me without me even having to testify so next time before u spread bullshit misinformation say that shit to my face.”

Ebert‘s comments arrive as he prepares to release the debut EP from his new band The S.E.T..
