Steady progress has been made with long overdue new music from nü-metal punkers Snot. In a social media post made yesterday, January 11th, the group confirmed that five new songs have already been completed.
The band’s last proper studio album, “Get Some” was released back in 1997. 2000 saw the outfit release “Strait Up“, a tribute album to their late vocalist Lynn Strait featuring a litany of special guests. That record was built upon material the band had been working on for the follow-up to “Get Some” prior to Strait‘s passing.
Last January saw Snot officially unveil Andy Knapp of Stronger Than Machines fame as their new frontman, with an abundance of touring having since taken place. Speaking yesterday of their progress with new songs, the band offered:
“Snot is excited to announce that the band has been writing and recording brand-new music, and the momentum is strong! The process has been going exceptionally well with five new songs already completed.
The energy coming out of the studio has been undeniable says Mikey Doling, we’ve been working hard writing & recording… When I listen back to what we’ve been doing, I get chills and fill up with crazy excitment!
More details, including the official single release date, album information, and additional announcements, will be shared soon.
Stay tuned”
