Per a new interview with SLAM: Music Survival Guide, NJ thrash metal veterans Overkill are some ten songs deep into the songwriting sessions for their 21st studio album. Frontman Bobby “Blitz” Ellsworth confirmed the news, stating: “We’re 10 songs deep. I expect to be recording by January, and let’s see — let’s see what happens from there.” Ellsworth did caution however that the band’s bassist D.D. Verni‘s ongoing shoulder concerns following surgery and injury could hamper the timeline a bit.
