What Were Your Favorite Albums Of 2025?

Another year has come and gone with 2025 serving up some much needed chart success for some of metal and rock’s current heavy hitters. It’s certainly been encouraging to see the harder genres back on the upswing as of late, with bands like Deftones, Ghost, Sleep Token, Turnstile and more continuing to open more doors and opportunities for other bands to follow through. One can only hope that the rising tide will indeed lift all boats.

There’s also been a lot of interesting up and coming artists beginning to cement their path too, as bands like Good Teal, SLEEP CLUB, Excide, Commoner and Bore, among numerous others, caught my ear in 2025. I’d be interested to see below who caught yours, so given the weekly lists exchanges we have going on here, I already have a pretty good idea.

With all that said, while I’m probably blanking on one or two, but my own personal most listened to records in 2025 played out as follows:

  • Turnstile – “NEVER ENOUGH
  • Good Teal – “Good Teal
  • Deftones – “private music
  • Miltown – “Tales Of Never Letting Go
  • Thornhill – “BODIES
  • SLEEP CLUB – “Bellows
  • Clipse – “Let God Sort ‘Em Out
  • Hundredth – “Faded Splendor
  • Psychonaut – “World Maker
  • Igorrr – “Amen
  • Coroner – “Dissonance Theory
  • Fallujah – “Xenotaph

Feel free to share and discuss what you enjoyed the most this year in the comments below. And if you’re feeling nostalgic, you can revisit your choices from last year over at the 2024 wrap-up post.
