More new music from Megadeth will arrive this week. The song “Let There Be Shred” will be launched as the third single from the thrash metal legends’ forthcoming final studio album this Friday, December 19th. That upcoming self-titled final chapter in the band’s discography will follow on January 23rd.
If this new single’s title sounds familiar, the group have also adopted it for an upcoming listening event for the album that will be held January 17th in La Vergne, TN. Megadeth founder Dave Mustaine revealed earlier this year that the band’s above-mentioned new album will be their last, with a global farewell tour expected to follow. That trek is expected to run roughly 3 to 5 years with no end date having been booked as of yet.
