Reaping Asmodeia have launched a stream of their cover of the 2005 Chimaira fan favorite, “Nothing Remains“. The technical deathcore band’s Daniel Koppy had the following to say about this decision to take on this track from the Ohioan groove metallers:
“The 20th anniversary of Chimaira‘s self-titled album just recently passed. They were a pinnacle band in the NWOAHM movement in the early and mid 2000s. We were heavily influenced by their sound and stage presence quite a bit in our formative years as musicians. We felt that it would be a lot of fun to put our spin on this classic riff heavy track by them. Twenty years later, ‘Nothing Remains’ is still as heavy as it ever was. We hope that we did it justice, while putting a little bit of our own feel into the track.”
This cover is part of Reaping Asmodeia‘s new EP, “Metempsychosis“, which will arrive on vinyl on December 12th through Cardinal Sun Records. In addition to the cover, that effort will also feature their own tracks, “Shattered Leviathan” and “Sanctuary Of Poison“.
