Make Them Suffer keyboardist/vocalist Alex Reade found herself unable to complete the band’s set this past Monday, November 23rd, at Bogart’s in Cincinnati, OH. Suffering from illness, Reade exited during the seventh song of the night, “Epitaph“. The group would mostly make it through the next song “Soul Decay“, before following suit, foregoing the usual ten-song set they have been playing on this North American run.
Reade has since taken to her Instagram stories, stating of her health yesterday, November 24th:
“Hey Cincinnati!!
Last night I was so sick on stage I had to leave the set/stage early which I have never had to do in my life and in almost 20 years of performing.
I started to black out/pass out on stage, and as the set progressed, I was physically unable to stand and continue to perform before imminent collapse, my body was shaking.
Cincinnati I love playing your city, you always bring incredible energy, I’m sorry to let you down last night.
We will make it up to you when we return again xx”
A follow-up post made today, November 25th, read:
“Thanks ya’ll for the messages I am okkkkk!!!! (Ish.) Still sick, in fact I think the whole tour party is sick, but Philly this show tonight is gonna smashhhhhh let’s go”
