A forcibly grabby audience member incurred the wrath of Haywire vocalist Austin Sparkman during the band’s set at the ‘Revolution Calling‘ festival in Eindhoven, NET last night, November 22nd. In the below footage, the stage-rushing fan can initially be seen wrapping his arm around Sparkman mid-song.
While Sparkman didn’t seem to disturbed by the initial interaction, it was when the fan began forcibly grabbing at the mic from Sparkman‘s hand and began singing that the singer physically retaliated, punching the fan in the face and pushing him back into the audience.
By the looks of the footage below, it would appear that the fan either lost a tooth or some gum in the exchange, as an object can be seen flying out his mouth upon the impact of Sparkman‘s fist. The incident saw Sparkman a bit more reserved with the future stage rushers that followed in the immediate aftermath, at one point kicking one as they dove off back into the audience. Luckily for the fans who felt the wrath of Sparkman, he didn’t employ some of his more devastating onstage moves.
Interestingly, it wasn’t the only violent altercation to play out during Haywire‘s set, as things got physical between members of Death Before Dishonor and a photographer.
