The 2025 ARIA Awards were held today, November 19th with a ceremony taking place at the Hordern Pavilion in Sydney, Australia. This 39th annual edition of the awards honoring Australian talent saw rising alternative metal outfit Thornhill nab the award for Best Hard Rock / Heavy Metal album with their latest effort “BODIES“.

In a move not often reflected in North America, a rock album took home the Album Of The Year category, with Amyl And The Sniffers‘ latest, “Cartoon Darkness“, snagging the honor. That record also took home several other awards, read on for more details.
