The below live performance of “Night Terror” is your latest advance look at Dream Theater‘s upcoming new live concert film/album, ‘Quarantième: Live À Paris‘. The GRAMMY Award-winning progressive metal band filmed their November 23rd, 2024 concert at the Adidas Arena in Paris, France for that new release, with the show being staged as a part of their 40th anniversary touring.
While that set won’t be receiving a home release until November 28th, a one-night only theatrical screening has been scheduled for November 17th. Further details are available through amctheatres.com. While Dream Theater previously took home the GRAMMY for the Best Metal Performance back in 2022 for their song “The Alien“, the band have once again found themselves nominated in the same category.
This very song, “Night Terror“, is currently up against Ghost‘s “Lachryma“, Sleep Token‘s “Emergence“, Spiritbox‘s “Soft Spine” and Turnstile‘s “Birds“. Next year’s winners will revealed in an awards ceremony set to be held at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, CA on February 01st, 2026.
Commenting on this fourth overall GRAMMY nomination, Dream Theater stated:
“We are truly humbled and grateful to receive our fourth GRAMMY nomination. After 40 years together, it still means so much to be recognized by the music community. When we began writing ‘Night Terror,’ it felt special to us on a personal level — so to see it resonate in this way is something we don’t take for granted. Thank you to the Recording Academy for this honor, and congratulations to all of the nominees this year.”
