In Flames‘ recent cryptic teases have been officially explained, with the group having newly unveiled the latest home for their annual ‘Brinner’ summer festival. Next year’s edition of the fest will find it being held in the Swedish melodeath pioneering outfit’s hometown of Gothenburg. Dubbed ‘Göteborg Brinner‘, the fest will be takeover the Frihamnen on August 22nd and also feature sets from the following bands, many of whom also hail from Sweden:

“We previously have had our festival in Borgholm and Dalhalla but now more than ever it made sense for us to return home. Göteborg Brinner is a celebration of our roots and love of heavy music. We shook Metal Town at the pier 16 years ago and we can’t wait to do it again. Returning to this special venue in our city will be deeply emotional and nostalgic.
