Industrial nü-metallers Spineshank have encountered a snag amid their first UK tour since 2023. Vocalist Jonny Santos was unable to travel for the trek due to a passport issue, leading the group to recruit James Mills from Hostage in his place as a temporary fill-in. The band hope to have the situation resolved by the weekend, An initial statement issued this morning, November 06th, read as follows:
“HI EVERYONE. WE’VE ARRIVED IN THE UK…WELL MOSTLY. UNFORTUNATELY JONNY ENCOUNTERED AN ISSUE WITH HIS PASSPORT AND WAS NOT ABLE TO FLY. THIS IS BEING CORRECTED AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE AND WE EXPECT HIM TO JOIN US BY THE WEEKEND.
AS THE REST OF THE BAND ARE HERE AND WE DON’T WANT TO LET ANYONE DOWN, OUR FRIEND JAMES MILLS FROM HOSTILE WILL FILL IN ON VOCALS FOR THE MANCHESTER SHOW (AND NORTHAMPTON IF NEEDED). WE ARE SO SORRY FOR THIS UNEXPECTED ISSUE BUT ARE EXCITED TO BE ABLE TO PLAY ALL OF THE SONGS YOU WANT TO HEAR. MORE INFO ON JONNY‘S ARRIVAL ASAP
–SPINESHANK“
A second follow-up statement was issued by the band and reads:
“WE KNOW THIS ISN’T THE IDEAL SITUATION, BUT WE CAN’T THANK YOU ENOUGH FOR STILL SHOWING UP AND SUPPORTING THE BAND. THIS IS GOING TO BE A FUN, ONE OF A KIND SHOW. @JAYHOSTILEUK IS GOING TO ABSOLUTELY KILL IT, AND WE’D LOVE TO HAVE YOU ALL HERE WITH US. DON’T WORRY, WE’LL BE BACK SOON WIT THE FULL LINEUP TO MAKE IT UP TO YOU. BUT TRUST US… YOU DON’T WANT TO MISS THIS ONCE-IN-A-LIFETIME SET TONIGHT
