With the proverbial countdown to Megadeth‘s extinction officially ticking down, the influential thrash metal legends have newly announced a Latin American run of headlining shows. As the band enter their endgame, they’ve dubbed that run the ‘This Was Our Life Tour‘.
This past August saw Megadeth frontman/guitarist Dave Mustaine announce his plans for Megadeth to hang it up. While there’s no exact end date yet, Mustaine‘s plans include the upcoming January 23rd release of their self-titled final studio album, and the global farewell tour that will follow.
Having just wound down a leg of shows in Europe and the UK shows as direct support to Disturbed, Megadeth have now set their sights a bit closer to home. This just revealed trek will commence in April and hit the following venues:
04/23 Lima, PER – Costa 21
04/25 Bogota, COL – Movistar Arena
04/30 Buenos Aires, ARG – TBA
05/02 Sao Paulo, BRA – Espaco Unimed
