Stephen Brodsky‘s (Cave In/Mutoid Man) newly re-mixed acoustic take on Converge‘s “Farewell Note To This City” has been made available to stream online. Converge originally released that track back in 1996, while Brodsky stated the following about the band:

“They’re some of my best friends and they’ve also written some of the GREATEST heavy music on the planet. They were the start of my full immersion into punk and hardcore and they’re STILL crushing it – I’m just as excited as you are for their new record next year.”

After sharing a series of acoustic covers of 90s hardcore, metalcore, etc. tracks earlier this year, Brodsky has newly had those songs cleaned up with an updated mix for a proper release. Due out Halloween (October 31st), that first batch of covers has been titled “Cut To The Core Vol. 1“.
