Pincer+ have had a December 12th release date scheduled for their debut album, “Who Are You When No One’s Around“. Greyscale Records and 1126 Records will jointly issuing that record, which features the just released new single, “Blue Light Overdose“. The Australian metalcore group shared the following insight into that new track:
“[‘Blue Light Overdose‘ was] written from a place of hate and utter disdain for those who continue to take, while providing no real benefit to anyone. It’s definitely one of the more aggressive and to-the-point songs on the album, and the closest in sound to our older material.”
A video for the song was shot with Josh Ang directing. Weighing in on the album, the band went on to say:
“It’s about losing control, pulling yourself apart, and trying to figure out who you are. We found the title felt like a way to tie it all together – it’s a question for us as much as anyone else, about facing the parts of yourself that only show up when no one’s watching.”
Last month the Pincer+ returned with their new track “Hard 2 Kill“. That song signaled a new era for the group, welcoming in the addition of vocalist Jaiden Higgon and bassist Israyan Shah.
