Gaerea will be releasing their next round of post-black metal upon the masses in March of 2026. The masked Portuguese outfit have just set a March 20th release date for their new album “Loss” via Century Media. Recording sessions for this new opus took place at Demigod Recordings with Miguel Teroso.
While a press release promises that this outing further finds the band broadening their sound, the group themselves also touched upon the decision to remain masked while now a decade into their career. Speaking of the continued anonymity, the band’s unidentified vocalist offered, “It’s not about the individual or seeing our faces. I don’t want people to know me. I want people to connect with the music and the lyrics that I’m singing and apply that to their own lives.”
The song “Hellbound” is the second single to receive a release from this newly unveiled record and arrives flanked by the below cinematic music video directed by Pavel Trebukhin (Amon Amarth, Imminence).
