Alexisonfire‘s sonic celebration of their Canadian heritage continues online this week, with today’s (October 17th) premiere of their take on Rusty‘s 1995 single “Misogyny“. Alexisonfire‘s next release, “Copies Of Old Masters Volume 1“, finds them covering four songs from Canadian artists. That EP will arrive on November 07th through Dine Alone Records.

The band’s vocalist George Pettit said of this track:

“It’s 1996 and you love snowboarding, rock and roll, and sexual puns… flash back to a MuchMusic special called Snow Job ’96 where Rusty played ‘Misogyny’ at the base of a ski hill on live television. YouTube it, and imagine a 16-year-old version of yourself immediately getting dreadlocks the next day.”

Copies Of Old Masters Volume 1” track listing:

01 – “Neighbourhood Villain” (Doughboys cover)
02 – “Cuz” (Shallow North Dakota cover)
03 – “Fully Completely” (The Tragically Hip cover)
04 – “Misogyny” (Rusty cover)
