It seems as this past summer’s ‘Back To The Beginning‘ festival that served as the final live farewell for Black Sabbath and Ozzy Osbourne could make it to United States, this time as a tribute to the aforementioned late heavy metal icon. The Mirror are reporting that a trademark application has filed in the United States for the ‘Back To The Beginning‘ name, being registered under, “entertainment services in the nature of live musical performance.”

The Mirror also report that an application for the trademark is expected being filed in the UK as well for a similar purpose. Monowise LTD, a company having been known to oversee the rights of Ozzy for some time now, are responsible for the filings. The first, and thus far only, ‘Back To The Beginning‘ concert took place on July 05th this year at Villa Park in Birmingham, UK.

Billed as the final live performance from Ozzy Osbourne and the pioneering heavy metal band he fronted, Black Sabbath, the show featured a who’s who of rock and metal royalty. The likes of Metallica, Guns N’ Roses, Slayer and countless others all played the show, each serving up live tributes to material from either the Ozzy or Sabbath catalog. The entire performance was livestreamed with the proceeds going towards charity.

A live concert film capturing that day with a focus on the Osbourne-related sets was announced as an upcoming 100-minute movie set to begin screening sometime in 2026. It remains to be seen if these recent trademark filings are in connection with that film or represent something of a different nature. Osbourne tragically passed away from a heart attack on July 22nd, just weeks after his swan song performance.
