As I Lay Dying are set to debut a new single titled “Echoes” tomorrow, October 08th, marking their first output since publicly imploding last November. That latest implosion for the band took place amid a series of allegations and concerning behavior surrounding their frontman Tim Lambesis — the latter depicted in a series of infamously leaked home security footage and more.
Lambesis went on to fire back with allegations of his own against his then estranged wife, accusing her of abuse, while she responded to his claims with allegations of her own. That latest round of drama marked the second time Lambesis had to rebuild the lineup since he served several years in prison.
While the band have yet to make an official announcement, “Echoes” has already begun circulating ahead of its planned debut tonight. As it has already begun to show up on digital service providers, the cast of musicians who have thrown in with Tim Lambesis for this latest attempt and relaunching the veteran metalcore band have also been unmasked.
Lambesis is credited as the sole songwriter and lyricist on “Echoes“, with the following performing artists also credited.
Vocals/guitar: Tim Lambesis
Vocals/bass: Chris Clancy (Mutiny Within, etc.)
Guitars: Bill Hudson (NorthTale, Tommy Vext, etc.)
Guitars: Don Vedda
Guitars: Jack Daniels (War Of Ages)
Drums: Tim Yeung (Tommy Vext, ex-Divine Heresy, etc.)
Whether or not some or all of these musicians will join Lambesis on the road as part of the band’s forthcoming European tou celebrating 20 years of “Shadows Are Security” remains to be seen. The dates for that trek, which will controversially launch in Russia later this month, include:
