While Ablation first revealed they were wrapping up tracking their debut EP this past February, it would appear that some scheduling around the bandmembers of the fledgling death metal supergroup’s various other projects took precedence.
That group unites vocalist Devin Swank (Sanguisugabogg, etc.) with Dehumanized guitarist Rich Nagasawa and Suffocation‘s bassist Derek Boyer and drummer Eric Morotti. Sessions took place earlier this year under Joe Cincotta with ex-Suffocation vocalist Frank Mullen even laying down a guest appearance.
This past August, the band revealed that they had finally wrapped that effort, and in a new post shared overnight, have now confirmed that the fully mixed and mastered 6-song EP will be “dropping soon.”
