Sacramento, CA post-hardcore band A Lot Like Birds have offered up their first new single in some 8 years. Titled “When In Love“, this new song finds the outfit joined by Thursday, etc. vocalist Geoff Rickly. The band commented alongside this debut:

There is no understating what this song means to us as a band. Finding a path to reconciliation together has been a monumentally meaningful and healing experience for each of us, as this band and it’s music is deeply rooted in our identities. It is a mile marker for each of our personal growth to revisit this as adults.

I think I speak for all of us when I say, Geoff’s work with @thursdayband and beyond was hugely influential to us. As we revisit this project so many years later and feel that magic we felt in our younger years, it is an honor to have an artist on the track that helped introduce us to magic in the first place.”
