XCOMM got a sizable boost with their new single “Reasons“. The teenage hardcore punk outfit had none other than Ross Robinson (Korn, Slipknot) behind the boards to produce this latest track. Keeping up with the high-profile behind the scenes help, the band also had Dean Karr (Slayer, Korn) served as the director for the video that accompanies the song. Among the band’s roster is Revel Ian, the son of Anthrax, etc. guitarist/vocalist Scott Ian.

The band had the following to collectively say of their vision and this new track:

“We’re not interested in recreating what used to be. ‘Reasons‘ is hardcore punk for people who viscerally live and breathe it, not just people who remember it. The song captures that feeling when everything feels like it’s collapsing but you’re still moving forward anyway. It’s the weight of expectations crushing you while you’re trying to break supersonic.”

Robinson said of working with the outfit:

XCOMM is the wild zone. It’s bad-ass Venice Beach kids ripping with absolute fury. I felt so alive recording this one—kids screaming, flying around the studio, laying down raw performances making their world come alive.”

XCOMM have their debut album being lined up for a release through Blowed Out Records. That label venture was formed by Robinson alongside Ghostemane and Bill Armstrong. XCOMM will be performing at the ‘Louder Than Life‘ festival this Friday, September 19th, in Louisville, KY.
